Dr. JaQuinda Jackson Ed.D, NCC, LPC is a therapist in private practice in South Carolina. She provides trauma-informed clinical consultations to schools, organizations, and groups committed to reducing the rate of secondary and vicarious trauma. Jackson focuses a trauma-informed lens onto a 3-part change model to help all members of an organization be better informed about trauma. This work can decrease burnout and turnover rate, while restructuring organizational culture to bring about lasting change. Jackson shows how decision-making can be influenced by implicit bias and addresses the importance of equity and inclusion. Dr. Jackson’s mission is to empower people and organizations to embrace trauma-informed care to increase empathy and understanding.
