Institute of Medicine advisory: Research involving prisoners

Most scientific research involving prisoners now takes place outside the scope of federal regulations and often without the scrutiny of institutional review boards. Advance copies will be available to reporters only beginning at 9 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 12. The report is embargoed and not for public release before 4 P.M. EDT on wednesday, July 12.
