Family Therapy

Therapy which takes into consideration the relationships and interactions between family members, and emphasizes the importance of healthy relationships to one’s mental health. Also known as couple and family therapy or family systems therapy.

Example: In order to better manage their son’s attention deficit disorder symptoms, the boy’s mother and father opt for weekly family sessions with a counselor.
