Chorea, or Chorea Sancti Viti (Latin for “St. Vitus’ dance”) is an involuntary movement disorder characterized by abrupt, purposeless, patternless involuntary movements. Causes include Huntington’s disease and drug side effects.
Example: The patient presents a series of abnormal movements which are quick and unpredictable, involving many muscle groups.
