Introducing Bounce Back: Develop Your Resiliency
Resiliency is a key psychological trait that differentiates people who can overcome adversity with only a dip, and those where adversity throws them into a state of stress, feeling overwhelmed, or even depression. That’s why it’s a key trait to learn more about and cultivate in your own life.
This makes me pleased to introduce Bounce Back: Develop Your Resiliency, a blog by Bobbi Emel, MFT that’s all about learning to build this important skill in your own life.
This blog will cover key concepts such as: learning how to gain perspective and ultimately acceptance over events and things that happen in life; looking for the hidden gifts in seeming adversity; learning not to resist; and becoming comfortable with failure including seeing the lessons it provides, among many other topics.
Bobbi Emel is a Los Altos therapist, speaker and author. She has worked in the counseling field for 20 years and has been a licensed marriage and family therapist since 1994. Bobbi has a special understanding about grief and loss due to the death of her partner in 2004. From this experience, she also learned how to develop resiliency and make the best of times out of the worst of times. You can learn more about her here.
Please give a warm Psych Central welcome to Bobbi, as I look forward to reading more about gaining more resiliency in my own life.
