Christine Cissy White

Christine Cissy White believes it’s possible to live, love and parent well after being raised in hell. Possible – but not easy. She writes and speaks about adverse childhood experiences (ACE), developmental trauma and living with post-traumatic stress. She believes breaking silence helps break the cycle of violence. She seeks to ensure that services called trauma-informed are informed by trauma survivors. She teaches expressive writing for health, speaks as a survivor and has been published in The Boston Globe, Ms. Magazine online, Spirituality and Health, The Mighty, Elephant Journal and To Write Love on Her Arms. Her website is: www.healwritenow.com.
