Hi I am a little concerned that I have started banging my head again. Friday I banged my head for 45 minutes. How serious is this? I have tried doing other things instead of banking my head, but the don’t help. I need some direction please.

Again? If this is occurred before what did you do to make it stop? If the behavior came and went and you don’t know what it was causing it then you’ll want a psychiatric evaluation.

Self-injurious behavior (SIB) can happen for a variety of reasons. Since it sounds like yours was absent for a while it may be stressors in your life that are causing it.

Evaluation by a qualified psychiatrist would be helpful.
