Authority

All Psych Central blog comments are moderated both before and after-the-fact by Psych Central staff. Internet users posting comments on this blog should not be considered as health professionals.

Complementary

Comments posted on any Psych Central blog should be designed to support, not replace, the relationship that exists between a patient/site visitor and his or her existing mental health professional or physician.

Confidentiality

We remind you that everyone can read and use your comments. You do not have the possibility to erase your own comments.

Comments

  • Internet users commenting on any Psych Central blog must behave with respect and honesty at all times.
  • Internet users may not post any commercial or advertising comments.
  • Internet users may not post ad hominem or personal attacks against anybody — including the author of an article. A personal attack is commenting on another person’s experience, education, background or authority to write such an article, for instance.
  • Internet users should comment on the topic of the blog or article they are commenting on, not an editorial decision to publish said article or the choice of wording used (for instance, the title headline). Feedback about editorial decisions should be directed to our editorial feedback address: talkback at psychcentral.com
  • Internet users commenting on any Psych Central blog must post information that is true and correct to the best of their knowledge. We invite you to provide resources (e.g., references, links, etc.) on health, mental health or medical claims when possible and relevant.
  • Commenters are as anonymous as they want to be; if you don’t want your Gravatar to display, please do not use your real email address.
  • Moderators reserve the right to remove, without notification, any comment that is inappropriate, a personal attack, or that violates Psych Central’s Terms of Use.
  • Moderators are volunteers and declare no conflicts of interest with regard to their duties here.
