Positive aspects of this (pros):
none
Negative aspects of this (cons):
didn't work
This medicine is touted to act fast (warned to take while in bed) and to only last 10 minutes (just enough to put you to sleep.)
It did neither for me.

Positive aspects of this (pros):
it helps me to get to sleep on nights when my mind won't shut down. It relaxes me and quiets my mind.
Negative aspects of this (cons):
I can't take it too late if I have to be up at a given time. I make sure I can get at least 7 hours sleep before taking it.
This medicine helps me. I've spent up to 48 hours awake because my mind and/or emoitions wouldn't settle down enough for sleep evem though my body was exhausted. I find it helpful to induce sleep.

Sedation
Negative aspects of this (cons):
Doesn't last the whole night
Zolpidem 10mg did put me to sleep, but I still woke up about 3 times a night and didn't feel rested in the morning. I had really weird and disturbing dreams too. I have also had several friends that have hallucinated and sleep-walked on Ambien. Also, my insurance is not great so I paid $60 a month for it. I recently switched to Symbyax for depression issues and have slept wonderfully the last 3 nights without Ambien.
