Positive aspects of the product (pros): Unknown
Negative aspects of the product (cons): irritability, price, non-fast acting

This med really did nothing for me. After the initial 'waiting' period for it to kick in, nothing ever happened. It seemed as if this medication was a placebo. About the only thing it did for me was make me more irritable.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): n/a
Negative aspects of the product (cons): felt like I was in a fog, disorientated, agitated.

I didn't care for this medication at all, even after being on it for close to a month, I never seemed to get out of the "cloud" I was in. I felt that side affect was worse than the initial anxiety.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): it did help my generalized anxiety
Negative aspects of the product (cons): lots of side effects, the worst was a constant diziness

Side effects were numerous and constant... and feeling dizzy 24/7 made it impossible to live a normal life.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): no bad side effects
Negative aspects of the product (cons): no effect of anxiety

Buspar was the first medication I was given for my anxiety attacks I started having in 1994. I found that is had no effect on my anxitey level & was like taking nothing. My anxiety level continued to worsen even with the use of buspar.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): NONE
Negative aspects of the product (cons): it doesn't do anything

this is one of the more worthless meds on the market. It virtually does nothing to one's anxiety level.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Price
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Does nothing!

This did absolutely nothing for my anxiety symptoms on 3 different tries. I have a bottle full of it just sitting in my closet. Blah. It's like drinking water... no effect at all.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): It works
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Had a tendency to overshoot (going beyond just being calm almost like too calm) in the first 1/2 hour and drop off and then come back up and then drop off too early

Try it to see if it works for you if not clonzapam might work better

Positive aspects of the product (pros): none
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Didn't wake up when my kid needed me to.

I was prescribed this after having sudden 'anxiety attacks' for about a month. I took it for 5 days and really felt as though I was there but not there. Having two very small kids, I couldn't handle not being there for them. On the fifth night, my oldest woke during the night after an 'accident' (still learning) and I had no idea the next morning that my husband had gotten my child up, changed clothes, stripped the bed, and sprayed the mattress pad down outside with the hose. All at 3 in the morning! That scared me, so I stopped the med the next day. Oh, and I still got heart racing and sweats... so it did not really help the nerves to much.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): effective for me at higher doses
Negative aspects of the product (cons): nausea, dizziness (infrequent)

I thought this med was worthless and my p-doc crazy (ha ha) until she boosted my dose up to the higher limits (above 50 mg/day). Bingo! I now take it in three doses a day, and am finding myself considerably less anxious. I've had anxiety problems--serious problems--for nearly 20 years and have only found this level of relief with benzos in the past, taken in a reactive sort of mode. The buspar, taken prophylactically, is doing very well for me. You MUST work with your doctor to ramp up to the effective dose.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): Placebo effect maybe???
Negative aspects of the product (cons): Didn't work

I was on this medication for about 6 months and I still am not sure if it worked, don't believe so.

I eventually got on
Klonopin for anxiety because my panic attacks were too severe and buspirone didn't work immediatley to help anxiety attacks.

Positive aspects of the product (pros): 0 panic attacks
Negative aspects of the product (cons): memory loss

I was shocked that it actually helped me. I take the 15 mg 4x a day...that might be why. I cannot remember my last panic attack.
