extreme sleepiness, goofiness, had trouble walking, seemed very strong

Too strong for me! Made it hard to walk, turned me into a goofy person. Didn't take it for long due to side effects.

I haven't taken this med in a very long time, but this is how I remember it. It worked very well as an anti-anxiety med in the beginning - I felt much calmer and slept better. But I had to keep taking more to get the same effect and after a few years, it hardly worked at all. I'd recommend Librium as a short term tranquilizer, something to get you through a crisis situation that lasts a few weeks or months, or for a person who only needs a to take a tranquilizer occasionally.

You don't even know it's working - doesn't affect me cognitively

because of that, anxiety might not be fully helped, but it does help
|

Librium is an old school drug, but I had been on Xanax, Klonopin, and Ativan. It has helped me, with few, if any side efects.
