The National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology recently launched a free psychologist referral website to promote access to top quality psychologists. The National Register has screened the 12,000 psychologists listed on www.findapsychologist.org to make sure they are licensed and have completed a doctoral degree in psychology, a qualified internship and postdoctoral training. In addition, we rigorously monitor disciplinary action data from state licensing boards. Any changes to the database are reflected on www.findapsychologist.org immediately. The National Register is an independent, non-profit organization that was created in 1974 with the help of the American Psychological Association and the American Board of Professional Psychology. Today, the National Register is the leading source of information on nationally credentialed psychologists in health care.
