The New York Open Center is the city's leading center of holistic learning and world culture, presenting workshops, concerts, conferences, films, trips, lectures, and NYC walking tours. NYOC programs – more than 600 annually - span the topics of holistic health, psychology and personal growth, sustainable living, spiritual inquiry, ecology and environment, and social and cultural issues. In addition, a new "Institute for Advanced Study" offers graduate degrees and professional training in Integrative Health and Bodywork, Psychology, Education, and Society. The center’s headquarters on Soho's Spring Street, also offers massage and bodywork services, a public meditation room, an art gallery and a bookstore featuring books from Eastern, Western and Indigenous Spiritual Traditions.
