Newton Wellesley Eating Disorders and Behavioral Medicine, a thirteen member clinical team, (www.nwedbmed.com) is currently composed of seven psychologists, three psychiatrists, a social worker with substance abuse expertise, and two registered dieticians. Our services include: individual confidential patient consultation; consultation to families, educators, and health care professionals; individual, group and family treatment; psychiatric evaluation and psychopharmacologic treatment (for individuals in psychotherapy in our practice); as well as nutritional counseling, case management and treatment coordination. A team approach and careful coordination of treatment of eating disordered individuals are emphasized. In addition to our work with eating disordered individuals and their families, we specialize in treatment of anxiety disorders, cognitive behavioral therapies, behavioral medicine treatment for individuals whose medical condition is impacted by stress or interpersonal factors, and chronic pain. Most major insurance and managed care plans are accepted. Offices are located in Brookline, Massachusetts.
