The HSF fosters worldwide research by developing an interdisciplinary family of scientists and physicians devoted to studying Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) and its molecular and cellular basis. HS can lead to social isolation, failed relationships and depression. The condition is thought to be under-reported, as patients feel embarrassed to seek medical advice.
