My mission in forming Dignified Aging Consults is to demonstrate compassionate mentoring for persons faced with eldercare decisions. It is my wish to involve the elder in the decision-making process, where possible, to develop a collaborative, caring environment for the elder.
Utilizing their backgrounds and experience, geriatric case managers assess and evaluate a loved one's mental, physical and social needs. As an objective observer, they pinpoint situations that may be overlooked by the families. Based on their research, they can make educated decisions and referrals.
A geriatric case manager can help clients and their families handle the emotional stress and often trauma resulting from this decision-making.
Geriatric case managers may also perform as educated advocates for the senior with facilities, physicians and other providers.Visits: 38
