PBS's excellent interactive site on life-threatening eating disorders. Welcome to the companion website to "Dying to be Thin," originally broadcast on December 12, 2000. National Eating Disorders Association
- find general information about eating disorders and body image concerns;
- obtain referrals to treatment centers, doctors, therapists, support groups;
- purchase educational curriculum, promotional items, videos, books; and
- learn ways to help by volunteering, interning, and/or advocating.
The National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) is the largest not-for-profit organization in the United States working to prevent eating disorders and provide treatment referrals to those suffering from anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder and those concerned with body image and weight issues.
