Abused Survivors support group
This support group has been formed to offer an outstretched hand to adult survivors of abuse (physical, verbal, emotional or sexual abuse). You are not alone and I want you to know that. There is no such word as "dwelling" or that phrase "get over it already" because we all know that abuse from childhood takes a long time to get through and a whole lot of support. Join us on this list and email with others who understand your needs and wants. Seek support from others and be there to support them through their difficult times too. Anyone looking for info for projects, surveys, or is NOT legitimately verbally, physically, or mentally abused or NOT a supporter of one are not welcome.

Adult Survivors of Child Abuse
Adult Survivors of Child Abuse (ASCA) is an individual and group support program for adult survivors of physical, sexual, and/or emotional child abuse or neglect.
ASCA's StepWork (21 steps) is a statement of the tasks and issues that most adult survivors face during their recovery from child abuse. Unlike some self-help programs, ASCA does not require that participants work the steps - although you may choose to do so - or that the steps be worked in a linear order. StepWork is a process whereby you concentrate on one particular step at a time in a given recovery program.
The Morris Center's "Survivor to Thriver" manual (a 115 page guidebook for ASCA participants, as well as for any survivor of physical, sexual and/or emotional child abuse or neglect) and all ASCA materials are available free to download.
