All St. John's Mailing Lists Are Down
St. John's, in NYC, has experienced network disruptions due to the tragic events. I only mention this here, because many professional mental health-related mailing lists are still hosted on this server (although I'm not sure why, other than that's the way it's always been). Listowners, consider moving to more robust, redundant, enterprise servers, such as those run by Yahoo! Groups. It's free, and offers a lot more options to help make your list a stronger community. List members, lobby the listowners to move when the St. John's server comes back online. No estimated day or time when that might be...

New Resource for Support
I've created a new temporary category for support and help resources regarding the attack on America. What a senseless tragedy... My heart goes out to everyone who has suffered a loss in this tragedy. Peace and prayers be with you.

I'll be hosting my support chat at HealthyPlace tonight at 9:00pm ET in Support Room 2 as usual. You're welcomed and invited to join us.

APA Convention

Sat in on a few symposium, presented a few of my own, and still got time in to sightsee!!!!! Yay! Now I need to finish up work on the next edition of the book, whose deadline is fast approaching!

JAMA Duped, How Can Quality be Guaranteed?
If the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) can be so readily duped into publishing a story that turned out to be false, how can we ever hope to have some sort of refereed source of reliable health information online? The answer, of course, is that we can't. Not when myths and stereotypes can be so easily spread and replicated...

Updates and the Summer
Okay, so you've probably noticed the lack of updates over the past few weeks. My family came up to visit me in my new home, and I've been working very hard on some new projects and perhaps even new work. It's been a real hectic time in my life these past few weeks, and I don't see it letting up until sometime in September (fingers crossed). So updates will continue to be sporadic until that time, for which I apologize.
