FOSE 2006 judges cite Attila's outstanding networking software

Attila Technologies LLC, a Stevens Institute of Technology Technogenesis® company, has been awarded the Federal Office Systems Exposition (FOSE) 2006 "Best Product" award for Outstanding Networking Software for Attila's Intelligent Multi-Network Mobile Communicator. FOSE 2006 was held at the Convention Center in Washington, DC, March 7-9, and was attended by 20,000 federal high-tech buyers along with 5,000 industry professionals and more than 500 exhibitors.

Among other products cited at the expo were the Hewlett Packard Officejet Pro K550, the RIM BlackBerry Smart Card Reader, the Panasonic Toughbook Arbitrator, and the Palm Treo 700w.

"The FOSE annual expo is the most comprehensive information technology event serving the government marketplace," said Stevens' Vice President for University Research and Enterprise Development, Dr. Helena S. Wisniewski, who creates commercial enterprises, like Attila, from Stevens' intellectual property. "FOSE unites government, industry and academia to exhibit and network the technologies available to meet our nation's important information technology needs. I am extremely pleased that FOSE has acknowledged how critical Attila's innovative technologies is to homeland security."

"Field tests of our Attila multi-spectrum radio have just begun in western New Jersey for emergency response applications," said Dr. Patrick White, a Co- founder of Attila Technologies and the Director of the Stevens Wireless Network Security Center (WiNSeC). "We believe that the tests will demonstrate the Attila platform to be the most agile and highly interoperable communication system available for first responders."
