NASA animates 2005 storm tracks
2005 may go down in the record books as having the most named tropical storms since 1933. Hurricane Wilma formed on Saturday, October 15, in the eastern Caribbean matching the record for number of named storms in a hurricane season. Wilma reached hurricane status on Tuesday, October 18, and is expected to enter the Gulf of Mexico later this week.
New NASA animations show all 21 named storms from Arlene to Wilma. Visit NASA's Hurricane Resource Web Page to download images and video: http://www.nasa.gov/hurricane
