Ethanol: Government of Canada announces second round of funding

BRANTFORD, ONTARIO -- On Wednesday, July 6, the Honourable Andy Mitchell, Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, will announce the second round of funding of the Government of Canada's Ethanol Expansion Program. Minister Mitchell will be joined by Lloyd St. Amand, Member of Parliament for Brant, local officials and industry representatives.

Time: 8:00 a.m. (EDT)

Directions: From Brantford Airport: Take the Brantford Airport driveway and turn right (west) on Highway #53 (toward Burford). Turn right (north) at the first set of traffic lights on Rest Acres Road. Take the Highway #403 ramp east (toward Hamilton). Exit at Garden Avenue (toward Cainsville) and turn right. Continue straight through traffic lights at Highway 2/53 (Colborne Street). Turn left on Highway #54. Blaindale Farm is on the right-hand side (about 22 kilometres) past Middleport.

From Hamilton: Take Upper James Street, which becomes Highway #6 south, to Caledonia. Turn right on Caithness Street (Highway #54) at the main intersection. Follow Highway #54 to Blaindale Farm on the left-hand side.

Signs will be posted from both directions.
