Chemical production and earnings up, employment down

In the United States and around the globe, chemical industry production and earnings continued to rise in 2004 while employment levels continued to drop, according to a Chemical & Engineering News report in its July 11 issue. C&EN is the weekly newsmagazine published by the American Chemical Society, the world's largest scientific society.
