HOBOKEN, N.J. -- In the latest in a series of high-level awards, Stevens Institute of Technology's Howe School of Technology Management has been cited as co-existing among the "World's Elite Research Institutions in Management of Technology." The award was accepted by The Howe School's Acting Dean Lex McCusker at a conference of the International Association for Management of Technology (IAMOT) held in Vienna, Austria, May 22-26. The association's president, Professor Tarek M. Khalil, was among those presenting the award.

"This is truly a capstone to The Howe School's efforts to project our programs globally, and to become identified as placing among the top-ranked institutions worldwide," said McCusker. "Our continuing mission is to carry the school's vision and offerings to an expanding global audience, to nations that actively seek new ways to manage the ever-changing technology landscape to the benefit all members of society."

Stevens' President, Dr. Harold J. Raveché, extended congratulations to the Howe School faculty and administration. "Within a decade of its founding," said Raveché, "The Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management has distinguished itself among its competitors on a global scale, as an elite institution in its field. Credit goes to those who have worked so diligently among the school's outstanding faculty and administration to achieve this high distinction."

Professor Jonathan Linton, a member of the IAMOT Awards Committee and a faculty member at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, said, "IAMOT has established a small number of awards to recognize academics and institutions that are critical to the advancement of the technology management field. The Howe School at Stevens Institute of Technology is currently one of the major research centers contributing to technology management research."
