The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is pleased to release--STUDYING TEACHER EDUCATION: The Report of the AERA Panel on Research and Teacher Education--a comprehensive study on teacher education research. This volume, lead by the AERA Panel on Research and Teacher Education, is the product of five years of review and analysis; it provides a comprehensive picture of what is known on quality teacher education, what is not known, and what needs more study. Moving beyond the controversy and debates that can mire teacher education reform, this book applies a rigorous scholarly lens to teacher education to yield essential information and insights.
