Canadian R&D workshop features Canada's new National Science Advisor, NSERC President
Canada's National Science Advisor, Dr. Arthur Carty, President of Science and Engineering Research Canada (NSERC) Dr. Thomas Brzustowski, and three Canadian world-class researchers will be panellists in a Canadian workshop entitled: "Plug into Canada: Why Leading Researchers are choosing Canada for R&D." The session will highlight Canada's goal of achieving the highest levels of research excellence and establishing world-class centres for research in the global economy by attracting researchers to Canada from around the world.
Dr. Molly Shoichet, Canada Research Chair in Tissue Engineering, is designing promising nerve regeneration systems. Professor Timothy Caulfield, Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy, is studying the ethical issues surrounding the genetic revolution. Finally, Dr. Michele Mosca, Canada Research Chair in Quantum Computation and founding member of Canada's renowned Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, is studying the power and impact of quantum computers.
