WHAT: Outsourcing Conversations is a free Webcast designed to discuss the offshore outsourcing (offshoring) of high-tech jobs overseas and its impact on the U.S. economy and technical workforce. The event, sponsored by IEEE-USA, is open to the media and the public.
WHO: Ron Hira, chair of the IEEE-USA Career & Workforce Policy Committee in Rochester, N.Y.; Michael Teitelbaum, a demographer with the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation in New York; and Philip Hatch, founder of Ventoro, a Hillsboro, Ore., company that facilitates offshoring for U.S. and European clients.
