  1. I’m a mom who has SAD and my older son has it, also. Seems the older each of us gets (I’m 68, he’s 45) the worse it gets. Seems to peak at Xmas time, at least in ’09 it did. I also had pneumonia at the time, which didna help, tho I’ve had the pneumonia vaccine.

    Dr. Grohol, the “light lamps” I’ve seen advertised to combat SAD are very expensive–does anyone know of an effective lamp that’s affordable? (Under $50). Thank you.
