  1. The same thing happens with buildings. Whether it’s an institutional setting designed by an architect or a cozy home (or psychiatrist’s office!), environment influences the emotions, and influencing the emotions in a certain direction can lead to greater feelings of comfort, intimacy, and self-disclosure. A computer screen is a virtual space and the design of that space influences the emotions. So I’m not surprised by the results of this study, which illuminates something that architects and designers have always known and sought to intentionally manipulate in order to meet the program laid out by the client.

  2. this is truly intrresting. however, i just wonder if you can try an expearement. What about people with visual disabilitys? Do you think that if your web sight is able to interface with a persons skreen reader would you get the same resalts? I ask because i am blind so i would love to know. thanks fred
