  1. I’m one of the tech gurus at the school where I work, so I try a lot of things so I can teach others about them. That’s why I started blogging. I’ve “killed” two blogs and actively only blog in two places at the moment–my school and my personal blog. It’s trickier to maintain a blog when you’re mentally ill, but in the past I’ve killed blogs because I was honest about my identity and made online friends and then became depressed and negative. I killed my Facebook account because I was signed on as the real me and it was *too* social. My Twitter account, on the other hand, is accompanied by a photo of the real me and is me–just an upbeat me. I couldn’t stay positive and still be honest in the more extended format of a blog; Twittering is easier because you don’t post heartfelt personal crap in just 140 characters. Although leaving and avoiding are two of my coping mechanisms,I’m hoping I’ll never feel the need to zap my Twitter account. It’s fun, it’s social, and it isn’t as scary.

  2. i really never managed to understand twitter, i find it really boring but i am still trying to get it
