Don't Like Anything to Do with Sex? You May Have Sexual AnorexiaDo you hate anything sexual? Do you avoid sex or any type of sexual feelings? You may have sexual anorexia.

Sexual anorexia is an aversion to being sexual. Sexual anorexics sometimes will go to extreme measures to avoid being sexual with others. Some symptoms of sexual anorexia include, but are not limited to:

 • Rigid, judgmental attitudes
 • Dread of sexual pleasure
 • Despair after sexual contact
 • Avoidance of anything connected with sex

At times, the sexual anorexic can follow a binge/purge cycle, engaging in sexually promiscuous or addictive behaviors for a time, then refraining from any sexual behavior for a time.

  1. Hiiii mam… I’m 18 year old boy.
i have sexual related problems… My dick is nit stright. It is curvy in shape. Also i masturbate daily atleast 3-4 times …. please give me ur suggestions…. How to control masturbating And How to change the shape of dick and how to enlarge it. .

  2. Now, I would REALLY like to understand why making the decision to not have sex is a dysfunction. I just don’t get it .If someone is happier this way and finds friendships more rewarding than “love” how can that be considered “in need of fixing”?

    • Carole,

Sexual Anorexia is very different form chasing to be abstinent or merely to be chaste. As someone who has has severe Sexual Anorexia/Sexual Aversion Disorder my entire life, I can tell you that the difference lies not in simply choosing to not have sex. Rather, my avoidance of anything sexual is born from a complete and absolute hatred towards my own sexuality and sexual impulses.
