We’ll see… I am investigating this in my Thesis. Give it 6 months. My theory is that the internet HELPS those who have poor relationships and social skills. Chat rooms and facebook gives people a practice forum before they take it to the real world. Maybe the net can save lives? maybe the net can build bridges? may the net can keep families connected and groups together… maybe it’s not all bad! maybe its the world’s greatest invention, or intervention! Maybe I can log on and find others just like me?

You are actually spot on. I did actually try to use msn and chat rooms to try to see if I can get on with a multitude of people. Unfortunately, I failed because I am maybe a bit too intolerant of the sometimes too deviant attitude of a small percentage of online personas, therefore causing me to reject the idea…
So, sometimes, even the testing ground is too much if the “person with issues” cannot really get a grip on themselves……
