If you’ve ever been tormented by a loved one or a thought, you know how all-consuming it can be. You could be saturated by the sunlight on a beach and still feel the weight of unresolved feelings, worries, and fears deeply.

I overheard a teenage girl the other day upset over a classmate’s Facebook update. “Why would she say that?” she asked. Her anguish was understandable. How many times have we caught ourselves over-analyzing a relationship, a past conversation, a future concern?

It’s Valentine’s Day as I write this and I know there may be some of you out there having a hard time with it. The digital life we lead makes things more complicated. But in general, all we humans (and pets) want is to love and be loved. How do we transform worries into love? What helps is remembering what matters. Does it matter who is right or wrong? Does it matter why someone did what they did? To help you stop your own mini drama in its tracks read our end of the week posts. Learning about the wise things our pets teach us, or remembering the importance of self-love will temporarily lift you from your current state of anguish. It’s our little love gift to you. Happy Belated Valentine’s Day!
