This is one psychiatrist who will wait at least 6 months or more until I even think about prescribing this drug after all the consequences with the predecessors of this class. I don’t know much at all about it and will not have the reps provide the education, bet on that!
Sounds like a cousin of Risperdal, which is risperidone generically, and by the way, one of the atypicals I do have a little comfort in prescribing where warranted; certainly NOT as an antidepressant or anxiolytic though!!!
As an aside, read an earlier post where you were a bit critical of your colleagues gunning for prescribing habits. Good for you for not supporting this cause.
