I don’t recommend antipsychotic for anyone, horrible side-effects.
My psychiatrist prescribed abilify off label. In my attempt to withdraw from abilify (which the doctor never endorsed & never assited me in my efforts) I always ended up with horrific anxiety along with other serious symptoms. Dr. Cruel never once mentioned akathisia. My complaints regarding my inability to withdraw from this drug, were wearing thin with the dr. and he said, “For God’s sake you’re not even on a therapeutic dose! What is your problem?” Can anyone try to explain the logic of prescribing a non-therapuetic dose, never uttering akathisia. In 2 years time of taking the only antipsychotic med ever, I now have tardive dyskinisia and permanent Akathisia. At this moment, I want to ruin him! I’d like to shove a 38 up his nose until he owned up to his b.s., for his treatment methods and to admit protecting the public from him is the best suggestion he’s ever heard. (don’t call the police-I wouldn’t do it, it is just fun to think about) He is a very religous man who is a also a cruel, sadistic $386.00 per hour, ?human being? Laws make psychiatric malpractice impossibe, malpractice cases go on for years and settlements are very low. My state does not require malpratice insurance and caps settlements. In time,I will get over the comtempt and hatred I now feel. There is more to this story but enough.
