There is magic in ordinary moments, in the mess of life. It’s just that sometimes we miss it.
Sometimes we’re so focused on the future or so buried in the past that we neglect the present. Sometimes we crave something so badly that we want time to speed up. And in that yearning, we gloss over the glory of today.
Other times we get so overwhelmed by daily pressures that we assume we don’t have time for the activities that feed us and bring us joy.
In her beautiful book A Field Guide to Now: Notes on Mindfulness and Life in Present Tense author Christina Rosalie shows us how to take notice, and take action, to live a mindful, passionate, truthful life amid the inevitable challenges and stressors.

This was an excellent reminder. As a law enforcement officer, I tend to constantly live in a hyper alert state. I also own a business, so I constantly worry about the future. I think today, I will take time to be present while I wash the dishes, and maybe I can find enough down time to lay down and remember what I am made of. Thanks for posting.
Yes agreed, its good to be in present rather than look at our past, we do many mistakes in our past in that case, we should remember those mistakes and don’t go again on them. However, in beautify of like always find better things in present rather than enjoying pas happiness.

Good article… I’m guilty of living in the past or the future. I have goals that are not being met in MY time frame so I’m depressed. I will try and live more in the present, I know my family would appreciate it.
Please study “Vigyan Bhairav Tantra” from Lord Shiva commented by Master OSHO.
If Rosalie is stating out of her own experience then she is an “Enlightened” being. If not then she is just like a knowledgeable parrot.
