That’s a very important question. Since I’ve started my Happiness Project, I’ve become more and more convinced that sleep is vital to happiness and energy. (Here are fourteen tips on getting more sleep.)

Very nice article! As a neurofeedback trainer I teach sleep hygiene a lot but the one I learned from you is getting ready for bed early. I’m going to borrow that one personally!
I’m guilty of every one of those except the caffine. Thank You for the great tips, I plan to start tonight.
I’m hopeless. I’ve tried to change my bedtime for many years; nothing works. Everyone once in a while, I can do it, but I’ve never been able to make it a habit. If someone were to tell me each night that I need to “wrap it up and go to bed,” I think I would. On my own, forget it. HHHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPP!
My personal problem isnt necessarily getting to bed on time, but actually falling asleep once I get there. I always lay there and contemplate about things I need to do in the morning. So a tip for this I discovered is to set up things you need for the morning before you go to bed, to relieve some of those racing thoughts. For example, I pick out my outfit the night before (accessories and all), I pack my lunch, etc. Just a suggestion!
