Great article. I’m afraid that I am, at times, guilty of combining crash diets with crazy bouts of exercise. I can manage to lose 5 or 6 lbs, but it always comes back – and seems harder to lose.
I wonder if there’s anyone tracking the participants of the biggest loser to see the percentage that have sustained the weight loss?

Interesting show but I’m not sure I would want to put myself on the “world stage” for this challenge. Weight loss is a very personal situation and one diet or exercise program does not fit all.

My wife is overweight and she recently started a workout and diet program. She understands the show pushes the contestants in an unhealthy way, but nonetheless is inspired by the fact that the people on the show lose their weight without surgery. I’m all for the show.
