There are more ways to lock yourself out of your computer that you mentioned.
What about unplugging input devices, or having a question sleep walkers can’t remember like a password used to unlock the machine? You could even put timer on your machine to disable access for a period of time. Or maybe have a RFID chip in ones sleep gown that can’t be in range of the computer…
