Announcing the Psych Central Drug Discount CardI’m proud to tell you about a new, free benefit offered to Psych Central members and readers — a drug discount card.

The Psych Central drug discount card can save you up to 80% or more off the cost of prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs and pet prescription drugs.

The Psych Central Drug Discount Card is accepted at over 60,000 pharmacies, including major chains such as Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid and at regional chains and local stores. It is offered in partnership with NeedyMeds.

The card may be used by those without insurance and by those who decide not to use their insurance — for example if the drug is not covered under their plan, the copay or deductible is high, the cap has been reached, or if they are in the donut hole.

  1. OMG – this is amazing! Thank you for doing this. This can help so many people!

  2. Thanks so much John for again, offering help to those who need it most. You are a saint and I appreciate you so very much!

  3. That’s cool!

  4. May I share this information with other NAMI members in my area? I know it says in the first paragraph: “…offered to Psych Central members and readers” I don’t know who, if any, read PsychCentral or participate in a message board, but it never hurts to ask.

  5. Thanks for offering this service.

Have you received any comments that there is a problem with a ‘clear’ printout of the card. It looks unclear on the screen and prints the same way; yes, I have a good set-up, so I’d say it’s something on your end. Would you mind checking?

    Again, many thanks.

    • as for the printing being blury, right click on the image and set it “actual size” and when you print make sure the ratio is 1/1 or 100%. If you set the printer to print “fine” it will clear it up some…
It’s readable on my end when i do the above.

  6. I am so grateful for this! Thank you so much for the program and the ease with which we can access it!

  7. No that is noting to laugh at, Thanks John!

  8. Thanks so much John !! This is PHENOMENAL !!

  9. I actually initially thought this was satire of some sort. Wow!

My only suggestion would be to specify in your article the jurisdiction to which this applies (I assume only in the US?).

I’m really glad more people will be able to afford their meds.

  10. Thanks for this. Right now Im in the Medicare donut hole and any discounht on anything is great. I read on their website that it also offers discounts on some non-prescription med.

I agree I with Sara. I printed this on photo paper using all the “best quality” options. Still very unclear.

    Thanks much!

  11. I’m about to hit the doughnut hole.
