  1. On the topic of women and depression…

    On Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. ET, Peter Schmidt, M.D., a clinician and an investigator at the National Institute of Mental Health, will answer questions about mood disorders in the perimenopause period, a time of significant changes in women’s lives that can impact mental health, as part of a Society for Women’s Health Research online moderated discussion. Sherry Marts, Ph.D., vice president of scientific affairs for the Society, will participate in the discussion to answer questions about the Society’s work in this important area.

  3. Hi Jennifer,
    Can I be really frank?
    I have worked with many women both peri-menopausal and menopausal;
    Woman are like wine they can improve with age. As a woman approaches her menopause her body changes significantly. Her temperatures rise incredibly, so she perspires at a greater extent. I would suggest to many woman at this time of their lives to wear good anti-perspirants and do not try to mask their smell with perfumes. Also many beauty products contain parabans which mimic the hormone estrogen which can exacerbate the problem.
    Most of all embrace your change.
    Many thanks
    Regards

  4. I have a passion of perfumes, and I also run a small perfumes sales business. I look
    around for posts like yours so I can keep myself updated. I consider the scent of perfumes
    as an art because every perfumes’ scent is unique in its own way just like an artist
    paints unique pictures. I even run my own blog for perfumes.

  5. Absolutely true! I often see myself buying and using more fragrances when I feel down. It’s a quick -upper for me.
