The Dangers of Texting While Driving The Dangers of Texting While Driving Does text messaging while driving have a big influence on driving abilities?  I think most people would agree that texting definitely does not help us drive any better. But, by consistently texting while at the wheel, many individuals act as if text messaging has a small negative effect on driving skill.

“I can drive fine while text messaging,” says the confident texter.

And that’s the problem — all of us feel capable, but none of us really are as capable as we think we are. Especially when it comes to multi-tasking well with two attention-demanding tasks.

  1. How can anyone truely say they can text and drive at the same time, that is not true, your mind is either on driving or texting and you cannot do both at the same time, I know because we lost our son March 15, 2009 because he was one of those that thought he could do it all and “Yeah T” was his last text. He was 23, a United States Marine, father, brother and uncle and knew not to text and drive but did, now we do not have our son, all we have are memories, clothes and pictures. No Text is Worth it. I spend much of my time now going to schools, youth groups and businesses talking about what happened to us and I always close by asking, look at your last text and tell me, would it really be worth dying over or killing someone else because Yes it can happen to you!
    Thank you….

  2. Seriously? I cannot believe there are people who will insists that they can safely drive while texting. Focusing on driving is a part of responsible driving. When you try to divide your focus while driving, you are not only putting yourself at risk but also the people who are with you on the road.

  3. i am soooo sorry
