Everyone is looking for the holy grail of happiness. But what is happiness? Is it something that can be pursued? And is it something that can be sustained? It’s a discussion I have had with friends for decades. One that makes for an interesting debate, but does not give way to a single agreed upon answer.
What do you think about it? What does happiness mean to you?
We posed the question to our Facebook friends and learned that happiness is definitely subjective. But that in general, happiness to them means self-love, gratitude, presence and giving to others. Can you relate?
To me, happiness means a lot of things. It means the knowledge that everything will be okay even during hardship. It is the freedom I have to make choices and the connection through receiving and giving love. It is also the belief that I can live authentically and the hope to pursue my dreams.
