You may measure emotional response in the brain, but it doesn’t mean that there isn’t response in the chest of someone dealing with anxiety, pain, panic, love, despair, caring, or countless other emotions. The brain is so complex how do you know the exact extent of the it’s circuitry? That it is not sending some kind of response down the body to the chest. Even with extreme depression, it can feel as if your entire body is affected, your brain is greatly affected as well, so obviously it is influencing everything else.
