Help Design a T-Shirt for Mental HealthGoodjoe is holding a t-shirt design contest to help bring greater awareness to the value mental health. Here’s how they describe the contest:

“Design an iconic t-shirt to inspire those going through a difficult time and/or to promote a message against mental health stigma.

Our hope is that when an individual sees these graphic t-shirts, it triggers a positive outlook direction of whatever situation he/she is going through. Feel free to use one of these following slogans or come up with your own, or use no slogan in your design.”

We think it’s a good cause and wanted to get the word out. The contest supports two non-profit mental health organizations.

The two organizations benefiting from the sale of the t-shirts are MindYourMind.ca and BringChange2Mind.org.

mindyourmind is an award-winning, non-profit mental health program that engages youth, emerging adults and the professionals who serve them to co-develop reliable and relevant resources. It’s a space for youth and young adults (14-24) to find support when going through tough times.

Bring Change 2 Mind is a national anti-stigma campaign founded by Glenn Close, The Balanced Mind Foundation, Fountain House, and Garen & Shari Staglin of the International Mental Health Research Organization (IMHRO), aimed at removing misconceptions about mental illness.

About the Contest

Submit your t-shirt design by November 15, 2013. Here are the design guidelines. If your design is picked, you not only have helped a great cause, but you’ll receive $300 cash and 6% royalty per shirt sold.
