Introducing Psych Central ProfessionalOver the years, we’ve been involved in many projects to bring better online resources and communities to mental health and behavioral health professionals.

So we’re pleased to formally introduce the newest member to the Psych Central family — Psych Central Professional, a new resource devoted exclusively to mental health and behavioral health professionals.

What will you find on Psych Central Professional? All the rich goodness you’ve come to expect from Psych Central — but targeted content specifically designed for the needs of clinicians and other behavioral health professionals.

Learn more inside…

While we quietly rolled out this new resource earlier in 2011, we wanted to wait to make sure we had all the pieces in place and functioning before we launched it more publicly. These pieces include:

  • A partnership with the Psychiatric Times to bring you relevant behavioral and psychiatric news and editorials
  • A partnership with The National Psychologist to bring you relevant clinical news, not just for psychologists, but for all clinicians
  • The Private Practice Toolbox, a professional-oriented blog by our own Julie Hanks, MSW, LCSW, BCD

We’re going to be adding new content to the site every week, so encourage you to check it out regularly (in addition, of course, to all of the great content that’s already there).

You can also signup for our new free weekly Psych Central Professional newsletter while visiting the site. In the newsletter, we provide summaries of a few articles each week that we think that you’ll enjoy.

If you’re a mental health or behavioral health professional, we hope you’ll consider adding Psych Central Professional to the list of resources you regularly check out and visit. And thank you for your continued support of Psych Central, the Internet’s oldest and largest mental health network run by mental health professionals.
