Our friends (including Psych Central contributor Jeremy Dean, who also authors the wonderful PsyBlog) over at the University College London (UCL) are conducting an online research study about online support groups and expressive writing. They are looking for volunteers to take part in this study.
According to their website, they’re looking for folks who:
- Are currently feeling a little under the weather, fed up or stressed
- Live in the United States, Canada or the United Kingdom
- Are over 18
Researchers at University College London are carrying out an internet-based study into whether online support groups and expressive writing are beneficial for people.
This study is conducted entirely online.
It will involve you either joining an online support group or completing an expressive writing activity (minimum 5 minutes every two weeks) as well as filling in questionnaires about how you are feeling.
Psych Central has no direct affiliation or connection with this study. We do not get anything if you sign up for this research (other than the hope that the researchers will prove or disprove their hypotheses).
If this might be of interest to you, you can learn more about the study and enroll on their website.
