Due to mental illness I went on disability 3 years ago, which meant a switch in insurance- my old plan was great- level of care for mental illness matched care for any other chronic condition. New plan covers great on medical, but substance abuse and mental illness gets cut drastically, my yearly benefits are usually used up with the first 2 months, leaving all of my care on the state's budget. I am very concerned that there are so many people who could be more productive members of society if they had better healthcare. This is an issue I have followed closely.
