I know that I am the exception - my rather elderly age may be the reason for that (60 yo)-although I am a working baby boomer who is up to date technologically speaking. Yet frankly I think that Facebook is the biggest emptiest bubble of hot air I have ever seen. Millions of people talking themselves to death. Endless inanities that couldn't possibly interest anyone else except maybe their mother! An inexplicable phenomenon! And incidentally an eye opener concerning the widespread inability to write/spell grammatical English!

It may be tricky for Facebook to include ads that create revenue. Their large user base may be helpful with the additions. Newer social networks like HopOnThis.com offers free marketing to businesses through creating a profile, blogging, etc.

I think it'll be tricky for Facebook. If they introduce more lucrative, but also more intrusive ads, they will probably lose a lot of users. But I guess now that they have reached critical mass, people are likely to stick with them?
