Congratulations to Katherine Stone, Postpartum Progress

By John M. Grohol, PsyD

Katherine Stone
We’d like to take a moment to congratulate our occasional contributor, Katherine Stone, author of the fantastic blog, Postpartum Progress, for being named one of WebMD’s 2008 Health Heroes. This is the third year of these awards that honor everyday Americans who face health issues with vision, helping to drive others to action.

She is a fantastic voice for mothers everywhere, many of whom have experienced the devestation, loneliness and isolation of postpartum depression. She has turned her experience into an empowering opportunity to help others who experience perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. We recognized her excellence a year ago, by naming her blog one of the top ten depression-related blogs online.

Congratulations, Katherine, it’s an honor well-deserved!
